The interface kit for iPod uses a proprietary 30-pin Apple iPod connector—via connection point in the glove compartment—to provide a direction connection from an iPod to the vehicle head unit, allowing the driver to control the iPod using either the steering pad or audio system controls. It aslo charges the iPod while the vehicle is in use.
Note: Audio head unit must be satellite ready. Available only for vehicles with Base Grade Audio. Some Preminum Audio units have embedded XM and conflict with the iPOD Interface kit. Either iPOD or Sat Radio can be installed, not both on all models. Not compatible on Corolla & Matrix vehicles with Premium JBL Audio.
